New functions for optimized collaboration
Karlsruhe – 12. März 2019 – With version 3.4, PDTec is expanding the functional scope of its PDM-light system CAD Portal and providing users with new functionalities for optimized collaboration.
CAD Portal efficiently processes both native CAD data and metadata-based source data to ensure that OEM-specific information is always available in the project.
CAD Integration Client can now process data scopes loaded in the CAD system directly. This method of client-side import and export uses the newly developed module for data exchange with the Volkswagen CONNECT™ system to manage processing data with CAD Portal in a version-safe manner and return it in a compliant manner.
Optimized caching mechanisms for CAD data lead to a further improvement in system performance. The designations displayed in the tree views can be customized for specific types. Enhancements and improvements can also be found in the check-out, in the search functions and in the import and export of CAD data.
